The ANSI/IWCA I-14 Standard was approved by ANSI on October 25, 2001 as an American National Standard. It is rapidly becoming recognized as the primary guide to window cleaning safety nationally. All states, including Georgia, have begun to adopt the I-14 Standard.

With the support of BOMA, the standard seeks to consolidate existing Federal OSAN regulations and other relevant ANSI Standards relating to regulated equipment and practivices.
